Bio
Prior to joining Bluestem Health, Dr. Peterson served as a Chief Resident in Pediatrics and was on faculty at Duke University Medical Center. She has worked with larger clinics such as San Mateo Medical Center and rural outpatient settings like the Coastside Family Medical Center, both in California.
Dr. Peterson volunteers her time helping out in the community whenever she can and has a particular interest in community health issues. She has been a member of the Board of Directors at the Lancaster County Medical Society for six years and has volunteered with many health outreach programs.
“I consider it a privilege to work together with the families who bring their children to Bluestem Health to get their kids off to the healthiest start possible,” said Dr. Peterson. “Each child has so much potential and, even when facing amazing adversity, children can show amazing resilience. I find it exciting to work with families to address not only the physical needs of their children but the social and emotional needs as well. I love the challenge of seeing children from premature babies to young adults because each stage of development has unique characteristics that must be factored into the evaluation.”
In her spare time, Dr. Peterson loves to cook, garden, camp, and swim.
Dr. Erica Peterson sees patients at the Bluestem Health Pediatrics at Kreshel Clinic located at 3100 N. 14th Street in Lincoln. To schedule an appointment, call 402-477-6600, or current patients can Self Schedule here.
